Where can I find this moulding?

Post by Estelle »

Hi. I'm trying to locate a source for the moulding profile below (unfinished wood). I've searched the Internet but without success and my supplier doesn't stock. Can anyone help?

I remember that. I say remember as it hasn't been available for a few years.

If you are sneaky you can construct a very similar shape from three profiles.
The middle is just a flat so no problem there. The inner and outer might be more difficult to
match exactly but you should be able to get very close.

Alternatively there are several members with milling facilities. :P (not me)

Would still make it in three parts though.

Many thanks for that. It's certainly an idea I hadn't thought of. Hope my skills are up to it!

Thank you for that! It's slightly bigger than my sample, which is 50mm but will probably do the job and it's certainly the profile I'm after!

The smaller R&H version is A271 - about 49mm wide and looks identical to your sample

I know - had to laugh when I saw someone on here, said that Rose and Hollis didn't think the Internet would ever take off, hence no website!!!

Sorry. I misestimated the scale. I do know A121 and A271 but the inner part looked different and
I mistook it for a bigger one I used to use.

Carry on.....
