An industry get togther

Post by Tudor Rose »

It is that time of year again and bookings are now open for the Annual Awards Dinner run by the Fine Art Trade Guild on Saturday 13th May at the Crowne Plaza (which was the Holiday Inn) Stratford Upon Avon with the Guild AGM on Sunday 14th May.

As well as the chance to come along for this industry get together, there is also the opportunity to vote for awards winners. There are a few categories - some are for votes for members only, but others are open for non-members to vote too.

The Guild Artist Exhibition will be open on the Saturday afternoon and there will also be informal Q&A sessions with members of the artists and framers committees on the Saturday afternoon - hopefully on the terrace overlooking the River Avon if the sun is shining, otherwise in the bar area. The whole focus of the weekend is a relaxed and enjoyable get together of people from the whole of the art and framing industry. A chance to chat, socialise and network in the lovely setting of Stratford Upon Avon.

The weekend is open to members and non-members to attend - it is NOT a formal event, we want people to feel relaxed and comfortable and just to have a good time. So awards nominees may want to dress up in DJs for the dinner in the evening but it isn't compulsory for them or anyone else.

We hope to see lots of people from across the industry there. There is information on the hotel etc on the link above ^^
