I felt i had to say what a great forum, only stumbled on it to-day .
Whilst i am only a part timer i think it will help me hugely for my future plans.
Hopefully i will not be asking to many stupid questions !
Hey Jon
Welcome. Ask away, there are no stupid questions at all. All those that you are about to bring forth, I am sure that I (if not others) have asked or even thought about.
If you do not ask then you will not gain knowledge, just fumble about in the dark.
Welcome Jon. One feature which has saved me a couple of times is the search. When you need that instant answer someone else has probably already asked the question!
On a separate note though, I sometimes prefer fumbling around in the dark.

Hi Jon, and welcome to you. I've only been a forum member for a few months, but I'm sure that, like me, you will find it a great place to get help, advice, and a few laughs to boot!
And as long as I'm a member, you won't be alone with asking the "daft" questions (been framing for just over two years now, so I've an awful lot to learn).
Enjoy!

Hi Jon,
Welcome to the forum. Don't worry about asking the wrong questions, most of us have been there too! We are all learning new tricks from one another and having a lot of fun along the way.

The chevron width is a common one here - people often ask if that is it or can I make it smaller!
I also used to work in the tourism industry and was once asked on a phone call from a caller from across the water - what the weather forecast was for next August - this was in September!
I once heard a story and I can't remember where it came from so it may be a myth, but apparently a moulding company once had a chop service order returned because the chap had wanted 2 10x8 frames and they had sent him 1 8x8 and 1 10x10.
Not all the nutters are on the far side of the counter.
