This leather cut out piece was a holiday souvenir.
I sandwiched it between two pieces of acrylic, then a deep spacer, then the mountboard below.

That's funny I'm just doing something made of leather as well. Mine's a rough and ready shape with splits and it's nowhere near flat. It's got the odd folded over dog's ear so i just lifted up the folded over bit, fixed it with the tag gun and let the dog's ear flop back and hid the end of the nylon tag.
I use really long tags, so that I can pull them tight tape them down fold the end of the tag over the edge of the tape and tape down again. I repeat this until there's no more tag left to do this with. I get my various tags from Morplan. I think there's something like 10,000 in a box, really cheap too.
Yours is positively neat and tidy compared to mine. Mine is also spaced back from the glass allowing the wrinkles to do what they do best. (Wrinkle)
