Mounting a map
I’m trying to mount a large map which my customer wants to use as a pin board showing where he has been, I’m using ‘Sundaela’ board, popular for notice boards but am having difficulty mounting the map. It has a glossy finish, I’ve tried spray mount, then spray carpet adhesive both without success, we’ve had to buy another map as a result. Any ideas how best to mount it please.

Re: Mounting a map
Would it work mounted to self adhesive foamboard? If you don't have a roller-press to apply even pressure on the foamboard then it can be done by hand with a brayer rubber roller. Mount it to standard self adhesive board first, like Arqadia fast-mount, and you can apply a fair amount of pressure with a hand roller and then glue the mounted map and board to foam-board with wet glue.

foamboard would be my choice too, actually I done one about 2 weeks ago. I wasn't sure that the pins would stay in but they held without issue
