Arrow T50DCD cordless stapler from tools top.co.uk.
Tested it, seems to do the work without pain or fuss.

That's not how mine works, otherwise I wouldn't be recommending it...
If the staples aren't driving all the way in, then perhaps you should try using shorter staples, as the manufacturer suggests.

Our previous two corded arrow electric staplers both failed after a little over a year of moderate use for canvas stretching. I contacted arrow to complain and they supplied this model free of charge, no questions asked. The first couple of months impression is it’s a great upgrade on previous corded models, although it’s lifespan is still up for question. We have no issues with it driving fully home, like the OP states a stock of different sized staples is suggested. A full charge is about 500 fires which is ample for our needs. Highly recommended.
