"I Can See The Future..."

Post by Bobble »

Who would have predicted palm held computers/phones back in the 20th century? OK, maybe some geeks but for young children too!
My framing prediction is reflective glazing will be obsolete by 2050. Fairly safe bet but any other brainwaves?

Yes. :P The communicators on the Starship Enterprise back in the '60s look a bit pathetic compared to the average mobile phone today.
They could travel at warp speed and beam people and things about the place but couldn't order a pizza.

As for glass, it could be the case that by 2050 all 'wall' art will be digital and displayed on screens. We have gone from 21" 625-line crt goldfish bowl
tubes to 60"+ UHD flat panels in a relatively short period. Where will TV tech be in another 30 years?

I've noticed a significant decline in the number of glazed frames that I do. I'd say 80% of the pictures I do now are canvas prints
or painted boards/canvases. I used to buy glass 100 sheets at a time. Now I get maybe 10 and that lasts me a while.

With Putin and Trump in charge, I don't think we need to worry about the future, should we :?: :?
