Looks a perfect match. Thank you Brian.
Do you know what size staples it will take?

I have tried looking online for a pdf manual. No luck, but I'm sure someone will have the answer. Thanks Brian.

When I first started framing, this is the machine I used, the underpins came in a strip (not a cartridge) with a red wax like substance holding them all together, the red wax lubricated the pin as it entered the moulding, I think (30 years ago) I used to use 7mm and 10mm pins in it

It is a Pisturous. They are built like tanks and more, or less indestructable. As far as I am aware they take normal universal wedges, but I don't think that they were made to take anything other than 7mm, or 10mm wedges. The top clamp height needs to be adjusted to suit different moulding heights so that the top clamp pad is level against the top of the moulding.

Mark is correct they are "built like tanks" but as they are completely obsolete, obtaining spares could be a problem. They take Cassese UNI wedges and these are readily available.
I had one for about four weeks and could not get shot of it soon enough. Changing the wedges was a PITA.
Saying that my oldest long time framer friend who has forgotten more about farming than I will ever know has two of these side by side each loaded with different size wedges to avoid the hassle of changing over. He also has a third machine standing by in reserve, (mine)
