Glass paper weights

Can anyone recommend a supplier for some heavy plain glass paper weights? I have some from PEL but could do with some heavier ones. Thanks.

I always made my own from scrap. I have one that is 1m long.

I wrapped a stack of glass with masking tape (several layers) and then placed rag mat board on the top and bottom.

We have stopped using them because they can have chips in them. Found this out the hard way. I have made bean bags with lead shot in them now.

Glass tea light holders from Tesco. £1 each. Or a stack of thee inch squares of glass wrappe in handy wrap.

I like the idea of the glass tea light holders from tesco. Really great idea. I think that I would be seriously tempted to fill the with araldite and ball bearing from a bicycle shop to add a little extra weight. I have some plastic screw to jars filled with sand and PVA glue, the jars originally were sold full of wood screws of various size, but the screws all got used up fitting out my first shop.

That's what I did, I have 14 now and one of them is a Caithness!! :wink:

I bought the ones from a promotional merchandise seller, on Ebay I think. They have a shallow void on the base so I added a printed disc with my logo and then attached the self adhesive felt base. They look spot on, probably only a couple of quid each too.
