WANTED pneumatic underpinner

Post by girlfromkent »

Hi all

Still looking for a pneumatic underpinner in the South East.
Happy to travel up to 2 hours from North Kent.

Not fixed on a make or model, so interested to hear of anything available that can be shown to produce good joins with hard woods.

Thanks
Megan

Imho if you want to produce good joints with hardwood, have a look for a second hand Hoffmann MU2 (I got mine from Hoffmann UK). I'm using mine more and more for tricky prefinished mouldings too, ones which I struggle to get right with a pneumatic underpinner!
Underpinners are great when you have lengths to join, but if I buy a chop, it can be stressful...

Looks good Justin
I'd love a router as it would solve a few problems, but I'm very tight on space. Will still need an underpinner and not room for both 😔

Wessex are advertising an ex-demo CS20 at around £600.00 off the new price. It's on their second hand page. It's been on there a while so you may be able to negotiate if you're buying other equipment or stock. There's also the added bonus that they would get it sent up to their Leatherhead branch who could then deliver to your door via their van service.
