Which way up

Post by WelshFramer »

I'm framing this:

Any idea which way up it should go -- I imagine that there's Arabic writing in the centre.

Well I wouldn't swear to it. But going by the central inscription I'd say it was OK as it is in the pic. The letters as probably stylised but the 'y'
on the left looks the right way up.

Many thanks. I looked at some Arabic writing and guess which way up it should be from that.

Good to have confirmation.

Put clip-on hangers on all four sides and let the customer decide! :D

Are you framing a print or the carved piece itself?

It's a photograph. The carving was firmly attached to a mosque.

In that case look at the back of the photograph. There is probably some writing on the back from the printer which should give you an idea. :D
You can only be young once. But you can always be immature.
