Hi all,
I am looking for some guidance as to present a beret as part of a shadow box medal display. How can I attach it to the mount, hook and loop, mighty mount? I am at a bit of a loss so any advice from more experienced framers would be much appreciated.

Re: Mounting a beret
I would sew it to the mountboard. I have one of those guns that fires plastic tags, I normally put a couple of those in to hold it in place, then using a tool which is basically a thick needle with a wooden handle to make the holes in the mountboard, I then sew it on, then cut off the plastic tags.

Re: Mounting a beret
I use a combination of tags and stitches, I position it with the tags then secure with stitches as I find you can get a bit of movement sometimes with the tags. I also sometimes pad the beret with some wadding it depends how the beret lies. If its quite old and been in a draw it will often easily lie flat, if it was being worn recently it wont, so I find padding it out a bit gives a better shape.
