Underpinner issue - can’t swap the v nail block

Hi
Went to swap a V nail block but it is stuck ,I must have got glue where is shouldn’t be :-( Any tips for what I could use to dissolve glue to hopefully free it up ?

Nail polish remover, vinegar, alcohol, maybe heat, all combined with some brute force. What sort of underpinner anyway? Photos?
The first P.F.G. (and still one of only two)
outside of North America.
