Hi all,
I'm looking to frame my artwork potentially for courier delivery, I already know the advice is not to send glass so what sort of thickness clear acrylic could I get away with, obviously the cheaper the better - I have a local supplier that's decent of price based on buying a full sheet cut to size.
Mainly 400 x 500 but possibly the odd 500 x 700 size if that makes a difference on thickness.
Also from experience its easily scratched, any pointers on the best things to clean it with and how best not to scratch?
Thanks as always.

Re: Acrylic thickness/cleaning advice
It all depends on how you want your final product to look, low end or bespoke. You can get 1.5mm acrylic and get by with it for very small items. For general bespoke vs production / decorative use I would start with 3mm acrylic for the sizes you have reported. For sizes over those sized I would use 6mm acrylic.

Thanks I was thinking 3mm, I don't want it to look cheap and nasty but want to keep the weight down.

I use a plastic cleaner and a microfiber cloth. Check with your acrylic supplier for specific brand.
