Training day today on a spindle moulder by the Master Framer @dermotmcardle.
A few months ago Dermot helped me find one the same as his, so today was to learn how to use it. I'm happy to report that I did some spindle moulding and I still have all of my fingers and thumbs!
FRAMERS: *Dermot has an online course of videos teaching traditional gilding techniques.

Good discussion thread- but in Adverts/sales/wants?

Seems the thing being sold, on behalf of someone else, is a course on gilding, but we’re being shown mouldings being made??

Would be a pretty good demo at a future guild event/other framing trade show, could be a bit of a project getting all the gear there mind!

As suggested, the topic has been moved. I've also "bounced" Vintage's post about his online course in Announcements so that it is easy to find if anyone is looking.

Justin, glad you managed to keep all your fingers!

Yes, we had Justin in the house, yesterday.

He talked of clean work-benches, swept floors, organised workshops.

'Made me feel quite uncomfortable.
