Morso EHT mitre cutter cutting problem

Post by boscawen46 »

Hello
I have a Morso EHT mitre cutter that I bought secondhand. I'm very happy with it but when cutting moulding on its second and final chop it doesn't quite go through the moulding and leaves a tiny bit unchopped on the outside edge. I can break this and it still leaves a good edge but obviously not ideal. Does anyone know if there is an adjustment that can make to advance the final chop by a couple of mm's?
Thanks in advance
James

Do you mean the blades do not go down far enough or not go far enough towards you?

I’ve only used a manual model but assuming things work the same, vertically there is a screwed rod and horizontally the adjustment is underneath the ‘table’ at the front as per photo.

If it is the same as photo then hopefully you can move the blades manually to test, otherwise, if over adjusted, they could bash in to the bottom blades.

There should be an online manual too.
