Morso F not cutting Vertically

Post by TomShawPhoto »

Hi - my Morso F doesnt seem to cut truly vertically. There is about 0.5mm difference between the blades at the top of their run, and the blades when they reach the bottom. When you look at the cut pieces of wood - there is a V shape vertically - so the top of the moulding is slightly wider than the bottom. Is there any way to adjust this? See the images below... at the top of the cut, then the bottom of the cur, then the resulting 'V' after the cut.

It could be rebate supports sticking and tilting the moulding back.
Try cutting it upside down to take them out of the equation, and/or see if same happens with a softwood of similar or even deeper profile

First of all I would try re-seating the blades.

They should be snug where they meet and equal height.

Looks to me like your left hand piece (right in the 1st photo) is walking during the cut. This can happen with very dense woods and/or unsharp blades.
