If it's to glue two sheets of plastic, or correx together, I'd be inclined to use a contact adhesive.
You can get some easily at Screwfix.

Spread the glue evenly over each board, leave it to dry and then press both together.

Thanks Dermot. Hot glue was going to be problematic with the size of it and it going off so quickly. I'll try that.
