Cassese CS88/89 custom-made Extension Arms Mk II

Post by Michael38tivity »

Hi,

*** This is the Mark II version of my self-engineered Cassese 88/89 Underpinner extension arms. The change was due to the original aluminium angle not being precisely 90% - in fact they varied from piece as a result of the poor quality of my supplier (who claimed they were within ISO standards). Because of the way I used them myself, I didn't notice this (neither did some other customers), but one customer found the original quite problematic (the aluminium plate didn't support the moulding everywhere it should) - and I've taken on board the feedback. The new design is completely flat - no angle involved - just flat, flat, flat, premium aluminium. ***

I'm an artist, framer (20+ years), enjoy engineering, and trying to solve problems.

Unable to buy extension arms for my Cassese 88, after years of getting by without them, I decided to make some. I've made them very precisely with some custom-made jigs - so I can make more if anyone is interested...

They're available to buy (fully returnable if not satisfied) on :-

Any feedback welcome.
