Boxing belt framing help please…
I have 2 x Boxing belts to frame. 1 x lonsdale belt amd 1 x world championship belt. Both are very heavy. What is the best way to secure in place to a backboard and what type of backboard is best - all comments welcome….
see images for belts….

On the Lonsdale belt you’re spoilt for choice of attachment points
A few melinex straps through and/or around the metal links and then a couple more, as wide as possible behind the central badge will be perfect.
The other one not so easy but there will be Velcro behind the small badge on that side, use it to prevent it from flopping forward. The Velcro on the other side won’t look any worse with more Velcro, or a black fabric strap wrapped around it. Then if you’re lucky you can again pass a couple of melinex straps behind the big badge, if not then formed rods.
Sometimes the back of these belts are covered in fabric, if these are and it’s Velcro-friendly, then a strip or two of heavy duty Velcro will probably do the job, maybe backed up with some of the above.
Mount to mount board but then bond that to something more rigid. It doesn’t have to be heavy stuff like MDF or ply, I would use correx, double thickness with the flutes of each layer perpendicular to each other, if using formed roads, correx is what is used to seat them in.
Charge a lot of money
