I made one from metal tubing I got online from www.themetalstore.co.uk
With a little planning you can get a reasonably priced stand, on castors, with shelves. I think mine was less than £125. They cut to size so you don't need to do anything other than make up the joints with an allen key. Might be an option for you. Quick delivery too

Thanks, that could well be an option!
I was thinking of trying a metal works if all else fails, I like the diy approach though. As long as whatever I end up with can take the weight.
