Bit of help

Ive got a job that I need a little bit of advice on.

It's a hand-painted a3 card and I was thinking of float mounting onto mountboard prior to framing.( The customer has given me carte blanche to display the piece as I would see fit.)

The problem i have is the card isn't exactly flat and I'd need to make sure that the card is closed - what would you use to adhere the card closed, it would need to be reversible. ?

Similarly what adhesive would you use to float the card onto the backing mountboard ?

Obviously i could just cut a mount and not float it, but I think it would look better floating.

I would use acid free gummed hinging tape. I'd make a loop of it around my finger tip and wet the end to stick together (with the adhesive on the outside). Then wet the outside of the entire loop and place it inside the card and weight it closed. Then with the same hinging tape it secure the card to a piece of foam board or thick mountboard. Then I'd EVA that board to the mountboard to float it

If it needs to be fully reversible i would encapsulate it in polyester film.
