Earlier I was searching through word docs for an old newsletter - wanted to remember when it was that Sammy the cat passed away.

It was taking too long; then I remembered I had posted part of that particular newsletter on TFG - found it instantly through the search faciility there.

Just thought I'd share - as you do.

Thanks for sharing a little about Sammy, albeit the sad news of his passing.

You mention, John, that you were not sure how old he was. It would be nice to hear about how he came into your lives, and how long he was with you.

Well - Pat (asleep just now

) used to run an animal sanctuary/rescue place and left there with him plus 3 Irish woofhounds.

So he was on the scene before I turned up in 92 - have to be reminded by Pat about how he came in to her life.

I'll scan some old photos soon.

I do have some pet fish though!
