Getting art into the Wizard

I have a signature that I want the Wizard to deboss.

I successfully converted it to paths using Illustrator CS3 on the Mac and saved it as a dxf file.

When I try to open it in Pathtrace the file seems to be empty - or, at least, Pathtrace doesn't display the artwork.

Any suggestions?
