Please do make your own, finding a container of a certain width is the hardest part.

Last year I got my hands on a 2nd hand tape dispenser/wetter, (big red one in Lion catalogue) I used it for all of 20mins and promptly got my wee roller back out. By the way the roller is in fact the replacement roller sold for these machines.

If you want to be posh and feel the need for a tape reel holder, try an icecream tub slotted at base level filled with your GPT rolls and put alongside the wee roller.
I don't see the sense in paying £50+ for simple tool that you can knock up for a few quid.
