Felt mirror backing

Post by summer-data »

Hi
Can anyone help...... i'm looking for a company who stocks black sticky back felt on a roll. We've bought mirrors from a company who use it to back some of the mirrors. I've mounted some prints onto glass to create my own 'art' and i need something to tidy up the back. I know the felt stuff comes on a roll and one side is sticky, but i can't find anyone who stocks it. Someone out there must stock it! Please help :?

Have you googled it?

There's some on ebay

We deal with a supplier that sells it in squares but they are also the manufacturers so would probably do a roll to order - wouldn't be cheap though!

Hi John
I've googled every version and every term i can think of but can't find it. I've also looked on ebay but couldn't find any there either. I'd be grateful of anyone who could provide a company, i know it's done on a roll so someone somewhere must stock it!

There's a company in widnes who stock it but i don't know the name and i know for sure it's the right stuff so if anyone knows who they are it'd be a big help. I've even looked on yell.com to find them but without as company name i'm lost. i've google framing supplies in widnes and mirror supplies but no luck :(

Lion catalogue No 5238, p101 of the current catalogue. Not exactly felt, but its black and furry, and as far as i know, no animals were harmed in its production. Not even cats, more's the pity.

Also wood turning suppliers tend to sell self-adhesive felt for undersides of bowls etc - eg

I used to buy self adhesive felt on a roll from this company:-

haven't used them for a couple of years or so but the price used to be ok.
