Yesterday, while in the middle of a big order my underpinner made an alarming clunk noise and stopped working.
My first thought was ‘Oh F F F F Fiddlesticks’
But not to be beaten I took it apart and found the main spring had broken. Luckily I managed to find a replacement spring, not an original part but it was sort of the right length!
Within half an hour it was back together again and I was finishing the order.
What else is remarkable is that I have had the underpinner for over 10 years and this was the first time it had broken… Is that a record?
Any way I got to call myself Jim’ll for the rest of the day!
