Beware of cheap deals from other countries. A friend of mine bought some goods from the states and thought he'd saved himself hundreds of pounds, even though they were air-freighted(and quite heavy). He went to Heathrow to collect them stuff and got hit with an import duty bill for £1500! :Slap:

Sadly.. thats about the right price. I have 2 heads in mine... :sweating: :sweating: :sweating:

Need to buy one myself tomorrow and a maintenance cart, so kiss goodbye to £500.
I feel like I'm being mugged at that price... :bandit:

Mine is a PF-02 so if I can get it any cheaper I'll let you know.

Be careful about buying and importing from abroad... it's not so bad if the package can be declared a lower value or samples as you'll get charged the VAT on the price declared, but you'll still have to pay an import duty though... not sure how that is made up. I privately bought some ink from a guy in the USA for half the price here, asked him to declare the contents as samples but he declared £200 so had to pay £45 VAT and import duty :head: was still cheaper than here so not too much of a loss.

Thanks for the advice. I'm thinking of upgrading to a new printer just can't bring myself to shell out so much money. The w6200 is really old and really tempramental i'm sick of it, i've been in denial about spending the money now for three weeks i think it's time to bite the bullet!

I guess old printers are rather like old cars: spend a lot of money on them and they really appreciate it - so much so that they immediately get some other part to fail so you can spend even more. :(
