Lithograph - Customer wants it framed in small moulding, chosen silver in colour, BUT no mount so will be straight on to glass. Are there any problems with this. the piccy was won on a cruise and probably cost more in carriage to get it back from the US than worth. size 61cm x 49 cm.
Have suggested different mounts and colours, the problem is that the picture is of 3 women sitting on chairs and tables in brightly coloured dresses, yellow, green and blue with the background white so colours are restricted, have tried several but they all look rcap.
Suggestions most welcome,

Lion do plastic spacers to separate artwork from glass. All sorts of different sizes.

The problem with no window mount is that the edges will be firmly clamped down, so it is likely to go very wavy very quickly.

Very true. Worth offering the customer the option of dry mounting (esp if it's not of financial/deep semimental value).prospero wrote:The problem with no window mount is that the edges will be firmly clamped down, so it is likely to go very wavy very quickly.

Was the Litho, perchance, from a Park West Gallery auction?
If so, it is probably not worth the paper it was printed on.
