Coffee Stain on print

A colleague has brought an original print to me for framing. The 1st thing I noticed about the print was that coffee had been spilled over a small part of it. He wasn't worried but, I want to get rid of it, if I can. Is there a diluted janola type product out there that would absorb the stain and not whiten the paper un-necessarily.
Has anyone been in this situation and can offer advice.

I tried to dilute the coffee stain with pure water - I tried it on the edge of the print that would be hidden under the matt board. No success really. I imagine coffee is one of the hardest stains to be rid of.
I used a triple mount, - a double mount right on the print, the inner one being a coffee colour and I spaced the top mount off the double with 5mm foam board. I used non-reflecting matobel glass, and I have to say the effect of all this was to diffuse the impact of the stain.
I am feeling quite proud of myself and wanted to shout it from the rooftops.
