Missing DLL FILE

I have an old Toshiba Tecra laptop and each time when windows loads up i get a message saying 'missing MSVCIRT.DLL file.
Any ideas how to rectify this.

If you google the missing file name you will get a link to http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-f ... ml?msvcirt and instructions on how to reinstall. I have not tried to replace this file but it has worked with other missing files in the past.
