Medal framing

Post by aldergladeframes »

Hi all,

need help!!!!

I have recently framed 19 medals, some with ribbons and some without. After approximately 4 months
it has been reported to me that a couple of medals have slipped to the bottom of the frame. I have to
admit that some of the medals are rather heavy and I suspect it to be those in question.
he initial adhesive was silicon. :sweating:
Does anyone have experience in this field and can advise me how to correct this permantly.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

John

The best idea is to achieve something permanent but only for as long as it is needed to be so, including 'for ever'

A method of fastening, instead of sticking, would achieve that - the fasteners, be they stitches, melinex straps or melinex 'spiders' etc etc - are tied and/or stuck down good and well, but at the back of the mount.
