Cutting clear polyester film

I asked on TFG first because they use it more - but same question to you good people - wanna file for a 'spider' - or an Idiot's (note capital 'I') on how to do one.

I think I could describe what I want better than draw - it's just an 'X' - or a + with the legs - say - 5mm wide, and as long as you like - say - 6" - coming from a circle - say - 2" dia. I can call up all those shapes but I can't make one unbroken shape. A circular 4-legged spider

That 6" being the length of each of the 4 legs from the circle.
