My new business venture
Thinking that canvas printing is limiting myself a bit I decided to offer a complete printing service to professional photographers and artists.
So Prophoto Solutions has just been launched with a new website and new brochure along with trade only pricing... and further investment!
website:
http://www.prophotosolutions.co.uk
eBrochure:
http://www.prophotosolutions.co.uk/ebrochure
We are really pleased with the brochure, we built it in house and can also offer this to clients as a 'bolt on' to their website with their branding.
Appreciate your comments.... be gentle!

I’m not a fan of the way you have done your brochure ………they are nearly always impossible read and if you want to print it you would need a degree in computing….
Why not just a simple PDF brochure!!!!!
Your web site would not open for me………just a blank white computer screen.

Re: My new business venture
I liked both - preferred the brochure - well designed - lovely photos, I would be very proud of it if it were mine. what program did you use.

Dermot
Which browser are you using? I'll pass on to my web guy to see why you couldn't see anything. There is some Flash element in there so that maybe why?
The interactive brochure is just version 1... we are working on version 2 which will include a print button and a better scroll/zoom.
A PDF version of the brochure is also available if required.
MarkW
The site is built from code... no program.
The brochure is all actionscript ... what ever that is. I just leave that all to 'those that know' LOL!!
Thanks for your feedback.

IE8
Site allowing access now…….
BTW wonderful design and a great looking site and brochure…
I just have a personal dislike for online brochures, I use a laptop 15” screen which makes online brochures hard to read and I hate zooming …just a personal dislike…..
Asked my wife, daughter and son what they think of your online brochure none like it, we all use laptops these days……remember many people are changing to net books also……..this laptops and net books are making the delivery of brochures whatever the format difficult……..
I’m not sure how to address the issue of brochures on line and it is a point of concern for me as I will be delivering brochures via the net as my business develops…

Re: My new business venture
The brochure idea is for potential clients, in fact one has taken it up already to have it branded for them to use it on their website and to have it to show their customers what is available.... it make it really personal to them and they don't really want it branded as the manufacturer.
Small screens are a pain but wouldn't a PDF on a laptop/netbook be just as difficult to browse too?
Eventually, when finances allow, we plan to further develop the website and incorporate the products within their own links... it just costs.
again... thanks for the feedback.

Re: My new business venture
Hi Chris
It's the dogs undercarriage as far as I am concerned.
The question is, do either the web or ebrochure do what they are intended to do?
In my opinion yes! If this is the way I would like to see my work portrayed, your presentation and professional delivery of the products and services on offer would encourage me to get straight on the phone and talk more about what my requirements are.
Different people are turned on by different elements both in traditional marketing and on the world of the web. My experience is, especially with people who are well versed in web browsing is that they want a quick fix to a search for a prooduct or service and if the images rock their boat, they will invariably go with their instincts.
For photgraphers this is the vision they would expect from a company supporting their industry. Clean, contempory and sharp, delivering ideas and a vision of what their photography could do for their clients.
I like what you have down and would be very proud if I had produced someything of this standard.
