Any ideas how to secure a Golf Club Head ?

Hi Folks

Sorry to be a pest but I was wondering if someone can assist with this.

I am framing an old 1 iron golf club in a shadow box .The customer wants it framed portrait and with the back of the club head showing. I have secured it to the backing board with discreet stitching along the handle and shaft.

Just when I thought things were going well I have came across a problem in that when I stand the backing board up with the club attached, the golf club head at the bottom is pivoting away ( slightly ) from the backing board.

I have looked up a reference book and it suggests securing the head in place with another piece of thread but this looks so unsightly I am sure there must be a better way.

Anyone any ideas?

You could try a narrow mylar/melinex strap.

There are many posts on the forum about mylar/melinex mounting of objects. If you do a search you will find many of them.
