Hi,
i've been lurking around the fourm for the last couple of weeks and found it very useful and helpful thought it was time to dive in and introduce myself.
I was working as a full-time artist based in the Isles of Scilly for the last 15yrs working mainly in watercolour. Unfortunatly due to marital breakdown I was forced back to the mainland leaving my business behind me (small gallery & bed & breakfast) which is now being run by xwife, all harmonious!!
I found things a bit of a struggling making ends meet painting on the mainland so I have taken employment which I enjoy its a total change of direction (support worker) fun and rewarding at times.
I have decided to keep painting and have invested in some picture framing equipment morso and morso underpinner and keencut arrow mount cutter hopfully this will keep my costs down when wanting to do exhibitions where a large quantity of work has to be framed before any sales are made, also I should be able to pick up some basic framing work locally to help pay for the equipment in the long run.
Thats a bit about me and my asperations at this time and over the next few days I will be back with some questions which I have going around in my head.
Thanks for reading

Hello Roundisland and welcome
What a shame you had to leave the Isles of Scilly - they are such an amazingly beautiful place and such a different pace of life that Penzance is such a shock when you come back on the Scillonian!
I hope your new venture goes well for you.

Re: Hello to all!
Thanks for the welcome really good to know there are people here to help and chat with about framing etc.
Tudor Rose your right I miss the Islands very much. I came from the smaller Island of St Martins with only 90 full-time residents so being on the mainland has taken some getting used too. Worcestershire is really beautiful county, great for cycling and good walking in the Malvern Hills, pretty good insperation for painting too!!
Better get back to work all the residents are tucked up in bed now but still plenty to do before lights out!!

Thanks Richard, I have been told Broadway is beautiful, but not been there yet. This summer I will take a cycle over to you and say hello, I think we are getting into bigger hills around Broadway?
