always thought that george michael would have made a good front man for queen BUT nobody can replace the pure theatrics of freddie - still this is good and i listen to it in the the workshop - LOUD

Re: nearest to freddie
Mikey - you obviously grew up at around the same time as me......do you still go to gigs these days?
I've recently discovered Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams....but still love seeing the old bands too when I get the chance. Hawkwind, Yes, Genesis, The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Wishbone Ash, Deep Purple, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan to name but a few I've seen over the last couple of years
This track is a 'tip of the hat' by Gandalf Murphy to The Who, but they 'do' lots of other bands too - great musicianship, and well worth seeing if you get the chance. I'll be at Beverley Folk Festival on the 19th June, but if you're lucky enough to have Glastonbury Tickets then don't miss their set there either!
Nice posts btw - particularly like the Nazareth one - but This Flight Tonight was always my favourite of theirs...

Re: nearest to freddie
thats excellent - like the title tip of the hat! they are good - very good. very rarely get to gigs these days even the v festival in chelmsford gets spoit by bad behaviour and inconsiderate folk - so cannot get the wife to go along!! shame cause the music on offer is superb and of the old glaston standard.
