Hi
I have a customer who wants a deep frame using toughened glass to sit on a coffee table. she wants to be able create a montage on the baseboard so wants to be able to get to this as and when by just lifting off the top frame.
I understand I would need toughened glass and then a spacer behind, but what is best way to ensure it stays securely in the frame besides pinning
thanks
Steve

How about clear silicon, would stop spilt tea/coffee seeping through to montage.

Mastic putty will stop it rattling about.

I use Econospace ® spacers and wire brads. The square plastic tubing is soft enough to cushion and semi pleasing to the eye. It is also rather easy to replace.
I pre-insert the nails into the side of the tubing and then press the nail into the wall of the frame. it is a lot cleaner than any adhesive. You could also possibly use poly medical tubing or equiv.
