The 056... one is a HGP200 - 24" x 36" model - £500 would be very fair - I would expect the later HGP220 to fetch about £1k in mint condition. Ask about that catch on the right hand side though - it looks to be "popping" & would mean you need to replace both catches (£15)

The 043... one is a HGP100 - 16" x 20" model - £600 is a bit steep for a very small model - but if it is big enough for you then it won't take up too much room - so may be worth the dosh...

If you need manuals or training DVDs for a machine you buy - give me a shout - I am here to help...

stevegoodall@hotpress.co.uk

BTW we will have a couple of "ex demo" machines available after Photokina (next two weeks) - if these are too small...

...Just had another thought...

I noticed you are in Northants - it may well be worth contacting Pete Stanlick at Framers Equipment in Northampton - he very often has second hand Hot Presses in at good prices. He has received formal technical training from our own engineers at Drytac & all his second hand machines are "immaculate" - almost "as new" - worth a shout if you are looking for something bigger than the ones on ebay...

Happy to help - Steve

Mr Cad, the photo dealer in Croydon have a Hot Press 24x36 at £499-- it was on half price offer last week so might be worth haggling if anyone is in that area. www.mrcad.co.uk or 0208684 8282

Sounds like a proper bargain!!! Things to look for if anyone is thinking of buying "second hand" are...

How fast does it pull vacuum - 20 seconds is about right for this size
What is the max vacuum it will pull - 25 on the outer scale is "good" - 20 is "OK"
Does it have a glass or metal platten - glass is way better - metal needs a lot more consideration.

Interesting & totally useless fact - vacuum is the only word in the English language that has 2 consecutive "u"s

manuals & instructional sheets / DVD available free - if anyone buys this press.
