Plexi

Help!

I have a large order of posters that i am quoting for. Unfortunately they need to have plexi. They are 84cm x 60 cm.

I have contacted a supplier that has said over 80 x 60cm they recommend 3mm, which is double the price.

I have never used plexi before and so have no idea how it flexes compared to glass.

Can anyone advise me?!!!!

Many thanks in advance,

Sandra.

Hi ... as long as the frame has a decent rebate depth, 2mm Acrylic will be fine. We advise 3mm at about 1sq metre upwards.
We sell 2mm at £25/sq m (about Eu28) cut to size and delivered here in UK. That would give a price per piece for your size of £12 (Eu14)
We would not advise use of styrene sheet for this kind of work - it scratches too easily and is not as 'stiff' as acrylic (aka Perspex or PMMA).
All the best,
