For some time I have been watching for ideas on the further development of the website we have developed www.framecraft.com.au - it has been developed to date as a promotional tool rather than an active selling site

We find it great for referring people to view methods of framing or how things will look - we send a newsletter to customers quarterly to those we manage to gather an e-mail address from and past copies are held on site for reference purposes. Find it difficult to get e-mail addresses, after first having gathered name, address and phone details, and also how they heard about Frame Craft to have come to us - any ideas on how to get an e-mail address?

Just been looking at Kev's "Moonshine Framing" website and note the big emphasis on the cutting of matt-boards and the ability to order numerous items on-line. Will check more of the members websites as time permits, but would welcome ideas or thoughts in the interim

Hi Ross,

Welcome back to the forum. :)

You have a great website. Clean design and quick to download.

Why not ask visitors to your site if they would like to receive a copy of your newsletter by email?

Ross,

Your site is a great example of how it should be done.

Are you asking your customers for their email addresses? You could offer to email them when their framing job is ready for collection.

Nice Job!

Ross,

You've done a good job as you probably already know.

-- Your site is clean, simple and navigates well (logical)
-- You're actually changing the Title and metatags for different pages! Surprisingly, even the big players miss this.
-- Your use of description and keywords is good and compliments actual content....I'm sure you score well on SERPs - Do you track real statistics with software?

My only quick observation and suggestion is that you need to incorporate some more graphics and images for the human visitor....a little too much plain copy.

Congrats,

John

Ross,

We've got an email invite for our electronic newsletter online and on our "In store Mailing list form"......more and more folks are signing up electronically. It takes time.....simply be patient.

I think I'll go to sign up for your newsletter, for sharing ideas. Please sign up for ours here...
The Frame Workshop Newsletter. We tend to send out about 3-5 newsletters in November-January, but need to add more during the non-holiday season.

It's a powerful way to inexpensively and repeatively reach customers....and it's only going to become a stronger marketing tool.

Regards,

John
