Hey Robo...
That is great news - it will be nice to finally meet up & see what "common ground" we can find - you never know - I might just "sell you something"

Re: Wessex Pictures - Grand Opening
Call me Mr Picky but when was Leatherhead in London?
According to The AA it is 20 miles and a 52min car journeyfrom Parliament Square. The destination in question is also outside of the M25.
Oh well I suppose we have London, Gatwick, London Heathrow, London, Stansted and London, Luton airports so why not London, Leatherhead?
Might have made it if it was Luton or Stansted but London, Leatherhead is a bit far plus you can't arrive by tram like the old Croydon depot and I bet there is not an IKEA close by.

Re: Wessex Pictures - Grand Opening
I think the use of "London" describes the fact that their many vans will be all around London on a daily basis??? - but Wessex GM would need to answer that themselves...

Leatherhead is only 12 miles from the old place, so you could incorporate a visit to Ikea at the same time, true, the tram doesn't go that far though.
But trying to get 12 lengths of moulding, 6 sheets of mountboard and an Ikea flatpacked wardrobe onto a tram would be a bit of an ask anyway!

Bad satnav experience - won't bore you, but somewhere around Dorking, being told I'd arrived, I ended up having to look through my saved locations to find Glass & Mirror's old place and luckily they had a 'we have moved to' notice with the postcode.
Very impressive place.

Re: Wessex Pictures - Grand Opening
I sincerely think a "great day was had by all". A rough guess would put the turnout at well over 200. The weather stayed fair for the outdoor "hog roast" & I finally got to meet Roboframer too & it was a pleasure. The next time I am around Angmering I will definately call in.
If you missed it - you missed a treat & as Robo said - not easy to find - but well worth the hunt - Very impressive!!!
Well done to all @ Wessex Pictures & Glass & Mirror - you did us proud!!!

Re: Wessex Pictures - Grand Opening
I'd echo that Steve - great day, good turnout, nice lunch, pain to find, but now we know it'll be easier next time...
Thanks Garry, Ashley and Wessex team for making us so welcome.
