Sourcing Sports Celebrity photos

Post by Bagpuss »

I have a couple of Jason Leonard Rugby shirts to frame and I said I'd source a photo of Jason Leonard for the customer. I've tried eBay and Amazon but was wondering if anyone else could recommend a website that specializes in this sort of celebrity/sports photos ?
Thanks in advance,
Adam/Bagpuss

Firstly

That stupid let me google that for you is the most annoying reply in the world

Secondly, and way more importantly just downloading and image from the Internet and printing will generally be in breach of copyright, we should never condone that on here!

I was just thinking that maybe the job could be done without even getting out of your chair and Google would be the place to start looking.

Obviously if looking on line for something to print off you'd either have to get permission, pay to do so, or find an image in the public domain, I wouldn't encourage breach of copyright.

I thank you for the suggestions, I had a look at alamy.com, found a great picture but after choosing a particular licensing option ?? I ended up with a quote for £300 !! perhaps I did something wrong there ....
The customer did ask me to "grab" a picture for printing off the internet but I pointed out that was a copright infringement .. he was impressed  I think .

I ended up going for the £4 photo off eBay, which I'm going to cut in half (too big).

cheers,
