Can anyone identify who is the maker of this mountboard cutter. I would like to get hold of spare parts to put it back in working order. As a hobbyist I think a new version would be beyond my pocket!
whose mountboard cutter is this?

Re: whose mountboard cutter is this?
I should point out that's Pete & Jan's Dad - Tony Stanlick - worked at the original Framers Equipment - from where Pete got his company name & he grew up with this kit & so would make the ideal starting point...
...especially as he specialises in spares & repairs!!!

Your mountcutter is called a Rapier, as previously said these were made for the original Framers Equipment by Sarac Engineering during the 1980's.
Don't think you will get spares for it anymore as they were only manufactured for a very short time.

Re: whose mountboard cutter is this?
There were quite a few mountcutters made to a very similar design, including the earlier C & H's (Bainbridge), Magnolia and Keeton, to name a few.
I would suggest that you phone Pete Stanlick, at Framers Equipment. He's very friendly, helpful and he may be able to find you something from his stock of spares for Magnolia mountcutters which may just do the job.
Pete's Dad and Pete Bingham used to work together for the machinery division of Magnolia mouldings.

Re: whose mountboard cutter is this?
Thanks very much forall the above advice. I knew this was the place to ask
I tried googling but the original company was struck off some years ago and the trail went cold. Now I am all set - many thanks!
