Framing a metal football emblem

Post by stripethespringer »

Hi

Any ideas on how to frame a metal football emblem?

This is for a Liverpool metal emblem about 10" high by 6" wide with gaps in it. Customer wants a red background as you would expect.

Would you frame flat onto red background board? Thought about raising above board but this leaves a shadow through the emblem so I don't think will work.

any ideas appreciated?

regards

steve

Flat mounted in a box frame with lined sides of the same colour.

Great name I take it you have one of those mucky brown and white things too :giggle: :giggle:

I'd stay clear of the red background, they tend to look crappy behind similarly coloured metal, plastic, etc objects. If you could find a red cored black mat board, you could do a v groove. Black background, two red cuts, slightly raised. Lots of frames go with that look. May even look classy, even though it's Liverpool.
