Been slow for a week or so. Mind you we have got BT vans all over the place round here replacing cables.

It will be the online shoppers at the sales slowing things up today. Tonight's television news said £186m had been spent online today.

We went to Currys today looking for a double oven and a fridge freezer. We thought - 'Chichester or Worthing'?

Retail parks in both cases - opted for the closest, Worthing, as we knew the roads and the car parks would be rammed.

Well, they weren't, in fact a normal Sunday/bank holiday ..... or even a normal day ... would be far worse. The roads were quiet, we parked closer to the store than we normally do and there were more staff in the (two storey) Currys than customers!

So maybe peeps were buying on line, but I was on this and other forums before we left and when we got back too, and all was normal.

Yesterday was dire for me. My personal email is with AOL and for over a week now its been locking me out for periods of the day which I assume is because of heavy loads on the servers. OK today so far though.

I agree with the comments on the retail parks since the ones near us were quieter than usual

I'm with AOL for email too, but they're not my internet providor any more, they used to be but now it's BT and I sign in to AOL from IE or whatever. Not having any problems.
