Morso waste chute

Anyone got a spare Morso waste chute that they wouldn't mind parting with at a half decent price?

Cheaper option.

Place Morso on 4 x 2 lumps of wood. Then place a 2-3 inch deep tray underneath. Easy pull out - to empty - option then.

A word of caution - if you make this 'fire grate' system, which raises the Morso off the ground, the pedal linkage will bang in to the bottom of the travel slots and wreck the bottom of them.

So either make those slots longer, pad them up with something or fix something to the underneath of the foot pedal. I did none of that and the bottom of my travel slots are wrecked, but I don't care - far as I'm concerned my Morso has scrap value only, but if you think a time may come when you want to sell yours on you might want to bear this in mind.

Here is a pic of some innovative modifications made by Mr Basheer at Le Cadre, Dubai U.A.E. to all his Morsos. Danlist so liked the ideas they have decided to incorporate some.

I modified one of my dogs 'buster' collars which works exceptionally well!

I made a cardboard lash-up once that actually worked quite well. A bit of corrugated with a slot cut in to fit tight around the tie-bar. This fed into another bit bent into a V shape going transversely which dumped the chippings into a box at the side. (My machine is tight up to the wall). I tryed fixing it in place with parcel tape ( ) which held for a while but eventually refused to stay put. In the end I went back to periodic scooping when the pedal wouldn't go down all the way.

But it's worth a try for someone who might be able to refine the concept.
