surface mounting print
A customer wanted me to frame their limited addition print (800mm x 600mm)- surface mounted in a box frame with spacers- which I did with hinge tape at intervals all round to hold the print to the backing mount board with a 50mm border to the frame. However they brought it back a week or so later because the print had 'waved' - they don't particularly want it just suspended from the top as it would 'flap' - can anyone suggest any other ways of 'hanging' a print so it stays perfectly flat whilst still being reversable?- should I just put lots more hinges all round it?
fortunately and unfortunately everything is connected
Re: surface mounting print
It is maybe one of those things that is just not float-friendly.
What sort of paper is it?

Re: surface mounting print
The 'heavy paper' float mounting method works quite well for keeping things flat

Re: surface mounting print
The paper is not that heavy - about 'cartridge' paper thickness. Thanks Jim for that link- hadn't seen that way before- might give it a go.
