So, hanging - not as in I'm now so frustrated with the Morso that it's the only remaining option - rather I need some ideas on an unusual picture hanging project.
It's the final show for my Art Foundation course in a few weeks and I'm going to be showing a series of paintings on 6mm MDF boards. There are 12 boards, same size, which I want to fit tightly together in a 3 x 4 grid. They won't be framed (framing is deeply frowned upon in high art circles ) so am wondering about how to fix them to the wall so they fit tightly and are flush. Any thoughts?
sticky fixers? not sure what they are, although I confess I was planning to use little glue dots you can buy from DIY stores - each of my MDF panels is quite small and the glue is quite strong... does this sound crazy?
They are little foam pads, sticky each side. Actually, you can buy rolls of the stuff. It sticks very aggressively so you would only need maybe 4 small bits per panel. If you are sticking to a wall (particularly if it's not your own wall) then I would stick the group to a black painted board and attach cord to the board. Because the tape is about 3mm thick, you can remove the panels later by slipping a knife blade in the gap and sawing though. Don't try prising it. You should be able to rub the residue off the panels. As I say, you only need a few small bits.
