Am trying to glue mount card to foam core with pva and a rolled then cutting 6mm spacers but when cut the spacers the card becomes unstuck from the foamcore. Any ideas?
Thanks, calico

If it's just for a spacer I'd use d/s tape. (Not ATG). PVA really needs to dry under pressure to form a good bond.

Your glue hasn't had time to go off.
I use pva glue, with ATG to hold it until it has gone off. D/S tape would work too

Cut the foamcore spacers first, and stick in the frame using a few bits of Double sided tape (to hold until the glue sets) and a few dabs of PVA . Then cut the card spacers and fit the same way to the foamcore spacers, do as two separate operations, don't try and combined them.

Re: gluing card to foam
i tend to dry mount sheets together, then cut spacers from them
and for colours i dont use a lot i dry mount off cuts
i normally actually use just 2 lots of mountboard though, dont stock 3mm foamcore only 5mm

Re: gluing card to foam
Pressure plus time fixed it in the end, but some interesting alternative approaches for me to try next time. Thanks all!
